This is a C. 1720 English Coin Scale made by Samuel Freeman & Son, Leadenhall St. In London. The bottom of the box is stamped 1720. The scale is in a Mahogany Box with wire hinges. There is a brass hasp as a box closure. The scale is an equal arm beam scale with swan neck ends and brass pans. The beam is 12 cm long and the pans are 4 cm in diameter. The label does have some water damage and on the inside cover shows the values. The box measures 14.6 cm x 6.5 cm. There are 5 brass weights 10, 6, 6, 5, 4 drams.
