AW 20 Wonderful George Grant Signed Etching "Up With The Sun" C. 1940
This is a Wonderful George Grant Signed Etching Titled "Up With The Sun" C. 1940. This is a Copper Plate Etching which is pencil signed in the lower right corner. I believe this is George William Maitland Grant (1919 - 2016) who was a WW II veteran. He was going to school when the war broke out and served with the RCAF fighter squadron. I have a biography which I can include. I cannot guarantee this is the artist but found no other that was a likely match. The piece has been professionally framed, double matted and held in a smoke free home. The framed dimensions are 16” x 14” and the etching is 9 3/4” x 7 3/4”.
